The aim of the Trust is to restore, preserve, maintain and exhibit in sailing condition the Steamship known as VIC 96 for the benefit of the public and, to acquire, maintain and exhibit a collection of marine and other apputenances and materials associated with VIC 96 to educate the public in its historical significance in terms of the nation's maritime and industrial heritage.
